Becoming a buy to let landlord as opposed to, or at least to supplement, working for a living is something of a tradition in this country and has been taken up by everyone from Peter Rachman to that nice couple down the road. I have always had misgivings about it myself and now I hear that an increasing number of tenants are being turned out by the bailiffs when buy to letters are failing to keep up their mortgage repayments.
