There is a class war waging and we are losing it. The rich are getting richer and the gilded elite who have ruled us since Norman times remain in power and dominate land ownership just as they did when they first robbed it. We live in a feudal society dominated by an oligarchy of privately and Oxbridge educated toffs who run not just the government, banks, diplomacy but the media, music. comedy and even the opposition. We see no difference between any of the parties – we oppose Tristram Hunt with the same venom we hate Zac Goldsmith. . We don’t want to kick the tories out to replace them with Labour or any variety of failed Trots. We don’t want to kick them out at all – we want to kick them in! Started in 1982 CLASS WAR was first a combative, funny, populist anarchist newspaper then mutated into a similar political organisation. We are proud of our past. But 30 years later the same approaches do not work. Endless photos of overseas riots and balaclaved anarchists bring no movement here. The same old same old is getting us nowhere. Time to think and do the unthinkable, to cross the Rubicon.

We are standing Class War candidates in the general election on May 7th 2015. We are doing this to launch a furious and co-ordinated political offensive against the ruling class with the opportunity an election gives us to talk politics to our class. We in no way see the election as an alternative to direct action. By the brick and the ballot.
We are not talking community politics here. It’s too late for a patient slowbuild like the IWCA. The ruling class have us by the throat -they need a short sharp kick in the bollocks. Our election campaign will use any means necessary. we won’t be ushered away by PR minders – we will make ourselves central to the campaign in a funny, rumbustious combative and imaginative way. We will be on the streets and in their faces.
Comrades whatever our yesterdays you are welcome now. join in. reject cynicism. have fun.

When I first read this I was so enthusiastic and saw great opportunities in the proposals for Class War election candidates. Then Class War ran a few posters supporting students who are protesting against Tory Privatisation, outsourcing jobs, and cops on campus. Great, I thought, and was reminded of the anarchist supported demos back in Swansea during the 70s against Apartheid, and against gender segregation in the halls of residence where we closed the entire university. But!
For several months students have been demonstrating and signing a petition against university proposals to enforce gender segregation in lectures and meetings. But the left have been silent about it and only one blogger has mentioned it. There seems to be tacit support for gender apartheid, and the Bone blog, along with a Revolting Pleb blog, have censored out any calls to support the student protesters, including the link to CH 4 below. Shame, because the students are planning some seventies style piss takes of the authorities, like sitting on each others knees and snogging during segregated meetings.
So why are Class war and the left unsupportive? Is Class War heading us towards the dark ages with loyalty directed to a primitive religion? Or, perhaps, the Class War pensioners are hoping to find part time jobs, using their experience of organizing meetings, ushering men and women to their separate seats in public gatherings.
As for me, I can support the student objectives, but fear that Class War, and several left bloggers, have very peculiar loyalties. (I fear I am about to be universally banned for trolling, so in case, I wish you well for Christmas)

Good news. One of the bloggers has this morning condemned gender segregation in very strong terms and I am delighted. Pity that in his attack on me (as an arch troller) he removed his earlier response which said that he was too busy with his day job to consider gender segregation, student pro Morsi thugs disrupting meetings, attacks on Jewish students, and Christian Faith speakers. My trolling was aimed at combating the authoritarian no platform policy of the thuggish left, which we need to denounce whilst supporting the fight against Tory privatisation in higher education.
That is it. Really enjoyed your posts and my irritating responses.
Keep up the good work.
