Dunno much about melting cars but I once had a Lada which was so useless. I wanted it to catch fire and cop some insurance. Then came the Moss Side riots in Manchester and I lived in Moss Lane East where all the cars were burning and some were used on the barricades. The cars in the local showroom were all ablaze. I left my Lada unlocked with two gallons of petrol on the back seat. Next morning was smoke and ruins and my Lada was intact. Bad luck. Two days later I was arrested for looting.
