Lovely pics. I do hope some of the Class War comrades got an autograph from Russell Brant, who seemed to be the big attraction of the People's Assembly do. He was, as I recall, a Class War favourite a few months ago. But then the left have a way of airbrushing their favourites out of history and censoring further references to them. I hope that if Class War is ever taken seriously these unpalatable aspects of the left will be addressed. It did seem that despite the content of their banner Class War presented itself as one more of the leftist sects - all part of the same movement eh. Shame the BBC and MSM operated a blackout of the event. Some of the Trots in the BBC's NUJ must have been disappointed that they could not interview their chosen lefties and it was left to Russian TV to interview St Owen, who blew it by using the opportunity to attack Putin's Russia, obviously setting himself up as a world statesman or boy.
Russell Brand is only a court jester so not to be taken seriously by anyone. Owen Jones just may get to be a Labour MP but he's a bit too socialist so I doubt it. Class War were exciting in the 1980s but I'nm afraid they now seem very dated even though the message is as valid as ever. I fear that we're turning into a movement of grumpy old people (myself included) which is not reaching out to anyone.
